India defeated Sri Lanka by 10 Wickets to lift their 8th Asia Cup title, breaking multiple records along the way. 

Biggest Win in an ODI Final (in terms of balls remaining)

India's 10-wicket victory over Sri Lanka in the Asia Cup final was the biggest ODI final win in terms of balls remaining, with 263 balls to spare. The previous record was held by Australia, who defeated England by 226 balls in the 2003 VB Series final. 

Mohammed Siraj's Six-Wicket Haul 

Mohammed Siraj was the star of the show for India in the Asia Cup final, taking a six-wicket haul for just 21 runs in 7 overs. This was the first six-wicket haul by an Indian bowler in an ODI final. 

Siraj Becomes Fastest Bowler to 50 ODI Wickets

Mohammed Siraj also became the second-fastest bowler to reach 50 ODI wickets, doing so in just 1002 balls. The only bowler faster than Siraj is Sri Lanka's Ajantha Mendis, who reached 50 ODI wickets in 802 balls.

India Extends Record of Most Asia Cup Titles

India's victory in the 2023 Asia Cup final was their 8th title in the tournament, extending their record as the most successful team in the competition. Sri Lanka is second on the list with 6 titles.

 Sri Lanka recorded their lowest ODI score against India after the fall of their fifth wicket (12 for 5). At 12 for 6, Sri Lanka recorded the lowest ODI score at the fall of the sixth wicket by an ICC full-member nation. India chased down the target of 51 in just 6.1 overs, which is the fourth fastest ODI chase.
